Lymphatic Drainage in Manly
Feel the puffiness ease, the heaviness lift and your shape return. Our lymphatic drainage in Manly clears trapped fluid so that you leave lighter, calmer and more defined.
This is not a longer version of the massage you have had before. Full body lymphatic drainage in Manly works with the whole system at once, following the natural pathways that move fluid, rather than pressing on one spot and hoping for change.

In practice, it means a gentle, rhythmic sequence that encourages your lymphatic system to clear what it has been holding on to, from your legs right the way up to your neck.
We begin at the neck and collarbone to open the drainage points, then work slowly through the abdomen, arms, back, hips and legs, finishing at the feet. If your ankles swell by the afternoon, your stomach feels bloated after meals, your face looks puffy first thing in the morning, or your thighs hold fluid that no amount of training seems to shift, this is the sequence that addresses all of it in one single appointment.
It is the kind of care people book before a wedding, a holiday or simply because they are tired of feeling heavy. Book your session and feel the difference yourself.
Real results, real confidence: See it for yourself
Saura Rates, our founder, qualified in physiotherapy overseas and has been working with the human body since 2008. She opened Atma Wellbeing in Dee Why in 2018 and has spent the years since refining Power Touch®, the technique behind our lymphatic work. Clients come to us from Manly, Fairlight and Queenscliff because the results tend to speak for themselves.
Why book lymphatic drainage in Manly with Atma Wellbeing
Most people who come to us fall into one of three groups. Those recovering from surgery, those who are pregnant or newly postpartum, and those who simply want to feel lighter in their own skin.
Beyond that, the reasons vary as much as the people. Some book after a long flight home from overseas, when their legs feel tight and their rings will not slide off. Others train hard along the Manly beachfront and want to recover faster between sessions. A few have been advised by their surgeon to arrange lymphatic drainage before their operation, so the body is in better shape beforehand. And plenty simply want to look their best for a wedding or a summer at North Steyne.
Less Swelling
Fluid that has been sitting in your ankles, calves and hands starts moving again. Most people notice their shoes slip on easily and their rings turn freely by the time they get home.
Lighter Legs
Heavy, aching legs after a long day on your feet settle once the fluid has somewhere to go. Walking the Corso or the path around to Shelly Beach stops feeling like such hard work.
A Calmer Body
The rhythm of the strokes settles your nervous system as much as it moves fluid. Plenty of people drift off partway through and leave feeling as though they have slept for hours.
Clearer Skin
When fluid keeps moving, skin looks brighter and far less puffy, especially around the eyes and jaw. It is the reason so many people book in the week before a wedding or a big day.
Better Recovery
After surgery, a birth or a heavy block of training, your body is clearing a great deal at once. Gentle drainage supports that work instead of adding more strain on top of it.
A Defined Shape
With less fluid trapped in the tissue, your waist, jawline and thighs look more defined. Nothing is removed and nothing is forced, your body simply lets go of what it held.

Atma Wellbeing sits in Dee Why, a short run up Pittwater Road from Manly, which makes booking lymphatic drainage in Manly and the surrounding beaches straightforward rather than a mission. Most clients are through the door within fifteen minutes.
Your lymphatic system has no pump of its own. It relies on movement, breath and pressure from the outside, which is why long ferry commutes, desk days in the city, hot summers and hours spent sitting all slow it down. When it slows, fluid gathers in the places you notice most. A trained sequence, worked in the right direction and the right order, gives that fluid somewhere to go and keeps it moving long after you leave.
Power Touch® grew out of that thinking. Saura developed it over years of hands-on work, combining the principles of manual lymphatic drainage with firmer, sculpting strokes that reach deeper into the tissue. The result is a session that feels calming and purposeful at the same time, and looks different in the mirror.
You walk out lighter, a little more defined and clearer in the head. That is what keeps people making the short trip up the road from Manly to see us.
Our frequently asked questions
Do you offer lymphatic drainage in Manly?
Our clinic is in Dee Why, roughly ten to fifteen minutes up Pittwater Road depending on the lights, with parking close by. We look after clients from right across Manly, Fairlight, Queenscliff and Balgowlah, and most tell us the trip is easier than finding a spot on the Corso.
How long is a session?
A full body session runs for either sixty or ninety minutes. The ninety minute option gives us time to work the whole sequence properly, from the neck through to the feet, and it is the one we usually suggest for a first visit. Shorter sessions are available if you are focusing on one area only.
Does lymphatic drainage hurt?
No. The pressure is light and rhythmic rather than deep, and most people find it more relaxing than a standard massage. Power Touch® adds a firmer sculpting element in places, but everything is worked to your comfort. If something does not feel right at any point, tell us and we adjust straight away.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you are working with. If you are preparing for an event or you simply want to feel less puffy, one session often does the job. Recovery after surgery usually calls for a course of sessions across several weeks. We map that out with you at your first visit rather than guessing on the spot.
Can I book lymphatic drainage after surgery?
Yes, once your surgeon is happy for you to begin hands-on work. Bring any instructions they have given you, and we will follow them closely. We work gently around the area and adjust as you heal. Our post-surgery massage page explains how we approach recovery in more detail.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Yes, from the second trimester onwards. You are positioned on your side and fully supported, and the pressure stays gentle throughout. Swollen ankles and heavy legs are one of the most common reasons expectant mums book in with us. Our pregnancy massage page walks you through what a session looks like.
How will I feel afterwards?
Lighter, usually, and very relaxed. You will visit the loo more often for the rest of the day, which is a good sign that things are moving. Drink plenty of water, keep meals light and easy that evening, and give the big night out a miss. Most people sleep beautifully that night.
What is the difference between Power Touch® and traditional lymphatic drainage?
Traditional manual lymphatic drainage uses very light, repetitive strokes to encourage flow. Power Touch® keeps that principle and layers firmer sculpting work over the top, so you get the fluid movement and a more defined result from the same session.
What should I do before my appointment?
Not much at all. Eat something light beforehand rather than arriving on an empty stomach or straight after a big meal, and wear something comfortable. If you have had surgery recently, or you are pregnant, mention it when you book so we can set the room up properly and leave enough time.
